2017 GMC Acadia Milton

Check out the updated 2017 GMC Acadia to see what updates GMC decided to give drivers for the upcoming model. We now know more about the features and pricing of this model, meaning that it will be much easier to make an informed decision between the Acadia and other GMC SUVs.

GMC Acadia Weight Reduction

One impressive change to the 2017 GMC Acadia is its weight loss. The new model is 700 pounds lighter than the outgoing model while still giving you three rows of seats on most trims.

2017 GMC Acadia Trims

In addition to the Acadia SL, SLE, and SLT trims that drivers are used to, the 2017 model continues to offer the luxurious Denali version. As before, most trims are available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. For the 2017 model, there is also a new Acadia All Terrain, which is only available with all-wheel drive. This trim is perfect for off-roading around Florida.

GMC Acadia New Engine

There are also changes to the mechanical components of the Acadia. There is a new standard 2.5-liter engine that should get about 28 mpg* on the highway and 22 mpg* in the city with front-wheel drive. These numbers are helped by the stop/start technology that boosts efficiency in stop-and-go traffic. The optional 3.6-liter V6 engine is also more efficient and powerful than the version in the 2016 model. This V6 engine lets the 2017 Acadia tow up to an estimated 4,000 pounds. GM estimates it will generate 310 horsepower while giving you 25 mpg* on the highway with front-wheel drive.

New Available Acadia Safety

For 2017, Acadia drivers can opt for a new host of safety features. The forward collision system is still available. New additions include parking assist in the front and rear, lane change alert featuring a side blind zone alert, lane keep assist featuring lane departure warning, a surround vision camera, a safety alert seat, IntelliBeam automatic headlamp high-beam control, a following distance indicator, front pedestrian braking, low-speed forward automatic braking, and forward automatic braking.

When the 2017 GMC Acadia is available at McKenzie Motors in Milton, Florida, it will start at $29,995**, making it very affordable.
