Participate in National Go Barefoot Day at One of These Beaches Near Milton

National Go Barefoot Day

National Go Barefoot Day is on June 1. It’s the perfect time to kick off your shoes and feel the grass under your feet. Do you know what’s even better? Feeling the sand under your feet, of course. Visit one of these Milton, Florida, area beaches to celebrate the occasion.

Pensacola Beach

Pensacola Beach is just like heaven. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire country, so you will love wiggling your toes in this sand. It’s not just any sand, either. It looks like sugar. Word to wise, though. Get there early because parking can be tough. If you can’t find a spot at the beach, you can park a little way away and then walk. You will need to bring some shoes along for the walk so your feet don’t melt on the pavement. A pair of flip-flops will work just fine. Then, you can kick them off as soon as you hit the sand.

Navarre Beach

You can’t find a more tranquil beach than Navarre Beach. Parking is easy at the beaches, and you can pull right up and walk over to the sand. Part of the reason it’s so easy to park is because the beach is rarely crowded. It’s a great spot to get away from it all. The water is also relatively calm, so you can get in and feel the water flow between your toes. You are certain to have a great time with your shoes off at this beach.

Destin Beach

If you like to have a little more action at the beach, check out Destin Beach. With 13 beach access points, you should be able to get in without any trouble. There are plenty of activities at the beach, and you don’t need shoes to enjoy them. Keep your shoes off while jet skiing, parasailing, or taking a boat tour. One tip though: the police have a presence at this beach, and alcohol isn’t allowed. That means you can enjoy going barefoot, but don’t do it with a drink in your hand.

Gulf Shores Beach

Cross state lines and go barefoot at Gulf Shores Beach. The beach is clean and laid back and attracts a nice amount of people. You can rent chairs at the beach, and there is a bar right on the edge of it, so stop by for a drink before hitting the sand. There’s a ton of sea life at the beach, so get ready to do some exploring.

You will love spending the day barefoot, but sometimes, you need to throw on some shoes and go to another location. When that is the case, you will want to arrive in style. You can do just that with a new set of wheels from McKenzie Motors in Milton, Florida.
