Meet the 2016 GMC Canyon

2016 GMC Canyon Interior

Look far and wide, and you still won’t find another truck that is like the 2016 GMC Canyon. This is actually the only pickup of its kind with a premium designation. It features high-quality materials, precise engineering, a quiet cabin, and a versatile size. As a midsize pickup, the Canyon is small enough to maneuver around Milton but still powerful enough to tackle your towing and hauling needs.

Canyon Styling

The first impression the GMC Canyon makes is one of rugged capabilities. It has styling that is similar to the larger GMC Sierra but in a smaller body. The front end has horizontal lines while the rear end is rectilinear with flared, squared-off wheel arches. Even inside the cabin, the GMC Canyon bears a strong resemblance to the Sierra, with a similar central dash pod and beefy steering wheel.

Canyon Engine Options

As with most pickups on the market, the Canyon offers the choice of two engines. The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder is ideal for those who don’t need a lot of power and towing abilities. It generates 200 horsepower and only tows 3,500 pounds, but it gets great fuel economy for the class. Upgrading to the 3.6-liter V6 engine gives you 305 horsepower and lets you tow 7,000 pounds, more than enough for a boat and other similar items. This engine also gives you a tow/haul mode. No matter the 2016 Canyon you choose to configure, you will notice that the electric power steering is nicely weighted and the ride is very composed.
