Step 1: Finely chop all of the chocolate. Then, take a medium saucepan and warm it on medium heat. Then, rub the sugar and lemon juice together in a small bowl.

Step 2: Once the pan is hot, pour in the sugar mixture stir it immediately. The mixture will liquefy and quickly turn into a light brown color.

Step 3: Continue stirring and add the milk. (Do not boil). Continue stirring until the milk and sugar mixture blend together well.

Step 4: After the mixture is simmering and small bubbles are forming in the milk, remove the mixture from the heat. Then, stir in the chopped chocolate pieces and whisk the mixture until it is smooth.

Step 5: Add a pinch of salt and stir the hot chocolate once more. Then, top the drink with whipped cream and caramel sauce. Serve and enjoy!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate
