Warm Up With Chili At Cheers And Chili For Charity

Chili For Charity

Did you know that November is Epilepsy Awareness Month? Learn all about it while enjoying chili, brews, music, and more at Cheers and Chili for Charity at the First City Art Center in Pensacola. It’ll be on Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and tickets are just $25. The money raised will benefit Epilepsy Florida, so grab your ticket and support a great cause. It’s nice to do something to help others, especially when there’s chili involved.

The Experience

This charity event is going to be fun and unique at the same time. You already know there will be chili on hand, and you can enjoy a good amount of it with your ticket. There will also be live music to keep the crowds entertained, and Gulf Coast Brewery will be there, serving up some of its signature brews. This brewery has a great selection of beer, so you can expect some amazing options. Make sure you bring some money with you so can you keep your cup full.

That’s not all, though.

The organizers will celebrate people in the community who are living with epilepsy, and you will also learn quite a bit about this condition.

Quick Epilepsy Facts

Even though this is an educational event, it’s still a good idea to know a little bit about the disorder beforehand. That way, you will have a better idea of what you’re supporting.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that can affect people of all ages. Some people call it a “seizure disorder” because it causes unpredictable seizures. It can be caused by a variety of issues, ranging from genetics to unknown causes.

People who have epilepsy can suffer from a variety of types of seizures. There are more than 40 types in all, and they each have unique characteristics. For instance, some people convulse when having a seizure, while others have a vacant look.

This disorder is quite prevalent. It’s estimated that 1 in 26 Americans will develop the disorder sometime in their lives. That is why raising awareness is so important. Awareness leads to funds, and funds lead to research. Hopefully, over time, researchers will find a cure.

This is going to be the tastiest event around, and it’ll also be educational. You can also learn quite a bit at McKenzie Motors Buick GMC in Milton, Florida. Our team is available to answer all your questions and help you pick out the right vehicle. Stop by and chat us up. We are happy to help.
