Umbrella Sky Project
Transform the Pensacola sky with the Umbrella Sky Project! During this pop-up event, thousands of colorful umbrellas will be suspended in the sky, creating a stunning canopy for pedestrians to walk under. It was inspired by the original Sky Project that took place in Agueda, Portugal in 2012. The annual decorative display in Portugal has gained a world-wide following. So now, we are bringing it to Pensacola!
Pensacola’s Umbrella Sky Project is part of the 2017 Foo Foo Festival. However, they display will stay up until February 3, 2018. So, be sure to have your camera in tow with each visit to the Downtown Improvement Board. You’ll want to have a photo shoot each time that you catch a glimpse of this amazing scene.

Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival
Head out to the 33rd Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival from November 9 through November 19. At this anticipated event, musicians and music enthusiasts alike have the opportunity to come together and share in experiencing this artform in their own way. Seasoned and aspiring music artists are able to provide a deeper look into their art, sharing the meaning behind each lyric and each note. Simultaneously, listeners can get to know their favorite musicians on a deeper level, while they also discover new artists that they may not have heard before.
