Florida drivers looking for a luxurious wagon will soon have yet another option to choose from. Testing of the 2018 Buick Regal Wagon has recently been spotted multiple times. Automotive experts are working hard to gather all the available information on this upcoming model. Wagons used to be a staple element of the Buick lineup, but there is currently a lack of them offered. The new Regal Wagon should fill that gap, expanding Buick’s appeal to a range of drivers.
Early Spy Shots
The first time the 2018 Regal Wagon was spotted was back in October in Europe. Technically, this was the Opel Insignia. However, that is simply the European equivalent of the Buick Regal in the United States. At the moment, the Regal is only available as a sedan for American markets. However, experts hope that this will change thanks to the fact that General Motors filed for trademarks for both Regal Tourx and Tourx. In October, they were even predicting an SUV version of the popular Regal, which would be like the European Opel Insignia Country Tourer.
More Recent Information on the 2018 Buick Regal Wagon
Just a few months later, at the end of 2016, more spy shots of the Opel Insignia gave us a better idea of changes to come for the 2018 Regal, including its possible wagon. The European version is available as a sedan, wagon, or hatchback, and it was this model that was spied. While the first spy shots featured exterior camouflaging, there is no such cover on those from December. Therefore, they let us see the Regal’s athletic stance and clean lines.
Regal Wagon Availability
The current predictions are that the changes to the Regal seen being tested in Europe will arrive in the United States for the 2018 model year. We may get a Regal Wagon at that time or perhaps a crossover-inspired vehicle that blurs the lines between segments.
